AU - 1016 A Stiffness Tester (Taber Type)

Description :The instruments is designed for evaluating stiffness and resilient qualities of paper, plastics, cardboard, light metallic sheets, foil and other flexible materialhaving comparatively strong bending resistance. The 38 mm wide specimen clamped between a vice on a balanced pendulum supported by antifriction bearing and lower end clamp on a rotating disc then Specimen is bent by 15 degree at a constant speed and when it becomes 50 mm in load length, bending moment required to bent specimen is measured in gcm unit and the stiffness of the material is determined rotation are clockwise and counter clockwise, so that stiffness can be measured in both the directions.

Measuring range:
0-5000 Stiffness Units.

Extra Option:
Triple shear cutter for sample preparation.
